TL;DR
Scrum Master (SAFe) (Healthcare Software Modernization): Leading Agile and SAFe delivery across cross-functional teams supporting large-scale software development, data management, software integration, and CI/CD initiatives with an accent on ceremony facilitation, backlog coordination, and delivery transparency. Focus on removing impediments, coordinating dependencies, advising government stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in a federal healthcare modernization environment.
Location: 100% remote, but candidates must reside within the continental United States

What you will do
- Lead and facilitate Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, retrospectives, stand-ups, demonstrations, and planning sessions.
- Manage backlog prioritization, team commitments, dependencies, actions, and progress toward delivery objectives.
- Identify and remove impediments, resolve delivery challenges, and drive continuous process improvement.
- Coordinate cross-functional software development teams working on large-scale development, data management, software integration, and CI/CD initiatives.
- Promote Agile quality practices and advise government personnel on process improvement and standardization.
- Brief senior client leadership and accurately track resulting actions, decisions, and requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading Agile software development teams supporting automated application deployment, scaling, and management.
- Experience with large-scale software development, data management, software integration, and CI/CD initiatives.
- Expertise in the Scaled Agile Framework and a current SAFe Scrum Master certification.
- Strong communication, technical documentation, facilitation, organizational, and senior leadership briefing skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required; candidates must be able to complete a background check and obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance when required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA tools, processes, frameworks, or federal healthcare modernization initiatives.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, CI/CD, and technical software delivery environments.
- Experience with InterSystems technologies and healthcare-related systems or projects.
