Mechanical Superintendent (Industrial Construction)

What you will do

• Plan, direct, and coordinate mechanical industrial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
• Lead Project Engineers, General Foremen, Foremen, and construction employees across large or multiple smaller projects.
• Manage project safety, quality, schedules, budgets, job controls, submittals, procedures, and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate activities with clients, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel.
• Analyze and execute CPM-based schedules, track milestones, and adjust plans and resources as needed.
• Lead field coordination, block schedule, owner progress, and safety meetings while resolving start-up and closeout issues.

Requirements

• 10 years of field experience with a skilled-trades background, or a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction management plus 7 years of field experience.
• A four-year engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent technical experience progressing from Journeyman to Foreman to Superintendent.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, building techniques, safety laws, company standards, and labor agreements.
• Prior direct profit-and-loss responsibility and experience managing teams across varied self-performing trade disciplines.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, customer-service, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and plan strategically over a 1–3-year period.

• Prior experience working on union projects.
