Design Specialist (Interior Design)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; in-store role with in-home consultations and off-site trade meetings as needed

What you will do

• Deliver personalized design consultations and recommend furniture, layouts, and styling solutions based on client needs.
• Drive sales and achieve revenue, conversion, and client-retention KPIs.
• Build relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.
• Manage the client lifecycle through CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and contribute to the store’s aesthetic.
• Conduct in-home consultations and attend off-site trade client meetings when needed.

Requirements

• Design-focused sales professional with a passion for modern interiors.
• Experience in retail sales, design consulting, or customer success preferred.
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Strong client needs assessment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; weekend and holiday availability is required.
