Migrations Control Centre - Night Team Member (Networking)

Location: Onsite at BT's Birmingham office, Monday to Thursday night shifts, with shifts from 9pm–6am or 10pm–7am.

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, and deliver complex network migrations, upgrades, service changes, and infrastructure transformations.
• Own network changes, incidents, escalations, service restoration, and Post Incident Reviews.
• Maintain operational processes, playbooks, and documentation in line with service standards.
• Provide technical leadership, delivery assurance, and guidance to Migration Professionals.
• Validate readiness and operational suitability through First Office Application testing.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, efficiency, transformation, and automation while sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements

• Working-level networking knowledge and router configuration experience.
• Experience or understanding of network or IT change and incident management.
• Good understanding of Network Delivery processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills, including the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Availability for a permanent Monday-to-Thursday night shift pattern in the Birmingham office.

Nice to have

• Experience using automation to simplify processes and increase output.
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Vendor networking knowledge or qualifications such as Nokia NRS, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
