Credit Officer - Specialist Finance (Financial Institutions)

What you will do

• Prepare new business credit submissions and annual credit reviews for Diversified Financials and Specialist Finance portfolios.
• Present credit submissions to sanctioning officials for approval.
• Lead credit due diligence calls with clients and contribute to deal structuring.
• Inform credit risk appetite across portfolios including CCPs, brokers, PSPs, and non-bank specialist lenders.
• Assess credit risks related to mortgage, consumer credit, and SME lending institutions.

Requirements

• Robust understanding of credit risk assessment for financial institutions or large corporate clients.
• Proficiency in credit analysis, including cash flow modelling, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
• Sound knowledge of rating agency methodologies and their application in transactions.
• Awareness of macroeconomic factors affecting asset performance and credit risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organisation, prioritisation, and relationship-building skills.
• Previous experience at a bank or rating agency is desirable; knowledge of securitised product structures such as ABS and RMBS is also desirable.
