Investment Associate (Private Credit)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid

Salary: USD 100,000–130,000 yearly, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate, structure, execute, and monitor investment-grade private credit investments across corporate, infrastructure, and alternative sectors.
• Perform fundamental credit analysis, relative value assessments, downside risk evaluations, financial analysis, and portfolio construction.
• Develop investment recommendations and investment committee materials while partnering with investment and credit professionals in Chicago and London.
• Support diligence, transaction structuring, legal documentation review and negotiation, and rating agency considerations.
• Build relationships with borrowers, arrangers, advisors, and other market participants to source opportunities and strengthen market intelligence.
• Monitor portfolio investments, manage amendments, waivers, consents, and credit events, and contribute to private credit strategy and client engagement.

Requirements

• Ability to evaluate companies and industries using financial statements, management materials, and third-party research.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including interpreting financial statements and building accurate, efficient financial models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting clear investment recommendations.
• Resourceful, self-motivated, disciplined, and able to develop independent investment views.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics is strongly preferred.
• Direct credit investing experience or formal credit training is preferred.

Nice to have

• Interest in or progression toward the CFA designation.
