(USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R (HVAC/R)

Location: Washington, Utah, United States; onsite facility and retail-store maintenance role.

Salary: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, fixtures, and store assets using multiple craft skills.
• Perform refrigeration and HVAC/R maintenance under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.
• Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and material-handling equipment to complete maintenance work.
• Receive reactive repair work orders, document repair activities, and support stores and associates.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
• Complete required safety training before operating tools and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling; EPA 608 Certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• One year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material-handling equipment, or a related area, or two years of Walmart store experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights and in varying temperatures, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Commercial driving record must meet the stated standards, including no recent DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions, no more than two moving violations in the last three years, and no preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last three years.

Nice to have

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or commercial HVAC/R, building controls, or construction-related work.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
