(USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R (HVAC/R)

Location: Walmart Supercenter 02697, Antioch, California, United States

Salary: $31.00–$61.00 per hour, plus possible hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair store facilities, refrigeration, HVAC systems, equipment, fixtures, and assets under the supervision of an experienced technician.
• Use plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material-handling, and food-equipment skills with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Receive reactive repair work orders, document repair activities, and support stores and associates through the work-order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training for equipment and tool operation.

Requirements

• Must be able to work at the Antioch, California location.
• Be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II EPA refrigerant-handling certification; EPA 608 certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle and commercial driving record.
• Have either one year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or two years of Walmart store experience.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights and in varying temperatures, and sit or stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial HVAC/R, mechanical maintenance, construction, or building controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
