(USA) Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC 2nd Shift (HVAC)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Hourly wage: $28.00–$54.00 per hour, with potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and bonus eligibility.

Walmart operates local retail stores and facility systems, including commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Use hand tools, power tools, digital tools, and other equipment to complete service work.
• Receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document completed activities in the work order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment and fixtures.
• Complete required safety training and follow Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety procedures.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, including refrigerant-handling guidelines.

Requirements

• Two years of commercial HVAC/R mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience with building controls, or four years of related experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass an MVR report.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work frequently at heights.

Nice to have

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification or completion of a two-year HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
