Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration (HVAC-Refrigeration)

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii, United States; onsite at a Walmart retail facility

Salary: $35.00–$70.00 per hour, with possible hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Receive repair work orders, document completed activities, and support stores and associates through the work order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Use hand tools, power tools, digital tools, and other equipment while following required safety procedures.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC policies.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance experience, or 4 years of relevant mechanical maintenance or construction experience; a vocational or technical HVAC/R certification may qualify with 2 years of experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record sufficient to pass an MVR report.
• High school diploma or equivalent and age 18 or older.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and move up and down ladders; a mechanical or HVAC-R journeyman license may be required.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
