Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Location: 1780 S Lake Dr, Lexington, South Carolina 29073-8102, United States; onsite at a Walmart supercenter.

Hourly wage: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and bonus incentives.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Receive work orders through the work order management system and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training and follow OSHA, EPA, and Walmart environmental and safety procedures.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work frequently at heights.

Requirements

• At least two years of commercial HVAC/R maintenance experience with large-scale rack refrigeration, or four years of related mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Meet commercial driving record requirements, including restrictions on DUI/DWI/OUI, moving violations, preventable accidents, and serious traffic violations.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification, or a qualifying HVAC/R and building-controls background; a journeyman credential may be required where applicable.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
