Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Location: Onsite at the Walmart Supercenter in Jefferson City, Missouri, United States

Salary: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, plus possible hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Receive work orders through the work order management system and document completed repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls from stores and associates.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Use hand tools, power tools, digital tools, testing equipment, and other equipment safely.
• Perform work in accordance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial HVAC/R maintenance experience with a vocational or technical HVAC/R certification, or 4 years of relevant mechanical maintenance or construction experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report, including the specified commercial driving record requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent and age 18 or older.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work frequently at heights; a journeyman HVAC/R or mechanical license may be required where applicable.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and common office software.
