Buyer III (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in New Port Richey, Florida, United States; Monday–Friday schedule with approximately 10% domestic travel.

What you will do

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, bid analysis, negotiations, awards, and contract management.
• Develop and execute commodity and supplier strategies to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Support new product introduction and design changes in collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives using value analysis/value engineering, should-cost analysis, and long-term agreements.
• Optimize inventory and continuity of supply for critical aerospace programs.
• Resolve supplier issues involving quality, delivery, and capacity constraints while coaching and supporting team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain management, engineering, or business management plus 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience.
• Strong experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Experience with aerospace materials and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, FAA, and AS9100 requirements.
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required for access to export-controlled commodities, data, technology, software, and services.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, and reverse auctions.
• Global sourcing experience, including supplier relationship development and implementation of purchasing strategies.
