Salary: $99,000–$141,500 USD per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, steam systems, and related plant equipment during an assigned shift.
• Monitor facility operations and maintain compliance with safety regulations, environmental limits, and operating permits.
• Conduct plant tours and direct shift, daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and checks.
• Approve equipment removals from service, safety permits, clearances, and tagging in accordance with plant procedures.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and lead emergency response when required.
• Train and manage a flexible, cross-trained, and technically capable operations workforce.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of experience in power plant or resource recovery plant operations.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers, electrical generation, steam-generating power stations, and instrumentation and control systems.
• Formal technical training and the ability to interpret logic diagrams, troubleshoot equipment, and develop or monitor plant procedures and technical instructions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ASME QRO Provisional and Site-Specific Operators license.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and across varying weather conditions while lifting up to 50 pounds.
