Plant Engineering Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Ames, Iowa, United States. On-site plant role with up to 10% domestic travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $109,202–$133,469 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and Plant Engineering personnel.
• Provide technical guidance for maintenance of manufacturing machines, systems, and facilities.
• Improve equipment reliability, eliminate chronic losses, and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
• Shift maintenance from reactive response to proactive and predictive strategies using root cause analysis, maintenance history, and precision maintenance practices.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor maintenance work while evaluating procedures, quality, and corrective actions.
• Support site engineering functions, including facilities, stockroom, parts procurement, on-call coverage, and flexible schedules for 24/7 operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and seven years of manufacturing maintenance experience, or an associate degree and five years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience may come from private, public, government, or military environments.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
• Ability to support safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
