Maintenance/Scheduler Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the Knoxville, Tennessee facility, United States. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Develop weekly and long-range maintenance schedules based on priorities, labor availability, equipment criticality, and production requirements.
• Convert work requests into defined work orders with scopes, procedures, labor requirements, tools, and parts.
• Administer the CMMS, maintaining assets, preventive-maintenance tasks, work orders, maintenance history, labor hours, workflows, and reports.
• Manage maintenance parts inventory, critical spares, stocking levels, purchasing, vendor coordination, and deliveries.
• Create and stage complete parts kits for planned maintenance and validate availability before scheduled work.
• Support equipment reliability initiatives, root cause analysis, process improvements, and CMMS training for maintenance staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in maintenance, manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS administration, inventory management, or related maintenance support.
• Experience supporting maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or facility environment.
• Experience with CMMS platforms, work orders, preventive maintenance, maintenance documentation, inventory, purchasing, and spare-parts tracking.
• Strong organizational, analytical, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with preventive, predictive, condition-based, or total productive maintenance.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, equipment reliability, or continuous improvement.
• Experience with CNC machines, industrial equipment, facility infrastructure, equipment installations, or maintenance projects.
• Familiarity with technical manuals, mechanical drawings, schematics, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
