Sr. Quality Manager - Process Assurance (Manufacturing)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; the role combines office-based work with physical activity in field or production environments.

Salary: $118,700–$211,300 per year

What you will do

• Lead the integration of reliability and robustness into new product development and manufacturing launch activities.
• Drive process capability, stability, and control using PFMEA, control plans, reaction plans, and continuous improvement methods.
• Lead APQP activities and institutionalize manufacturing quality practices across product launches.
• Reduce process variation, defects, warranty issues, and operational risk while improving First Pass Yield.
• Act as the highest escalation point for complex quality issues and ensure containment and sustainable resolution.
• Develop quality training plans and coach manufacturing teams in PFMEA, APQP, 8D, and Six Sigma problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of related work experience.
• Experience with Design for Reliability, Design for Robustness, Design for Six Sigma, or quality improvement in new product development.
• Strong analytical, project management, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across office, field, and production environments, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in reliability engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; Master Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Experience managing large teams in a continuous improvement culture.
