Military and Family Life Counselor - Adults or Children

Location: Warner Robins, Georgia, supporting Robins Air Force Base and local schools. Candidates must be local or willing to become local. Work requires presence across indoor and outdoor military installation or school locations.

Salary: $59,922–$100,280 annually, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and other permitted factors.

What you will do

• Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling, assessment, consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
• Deliver training and health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and installation activities.
• Maintain visibility and working relationships with military installation contacts, community resources, service members, and families.
• Respond to critical incidents, surge requests, urgent events, and special requests, with schedule flexibility as needed.
• Manage duty-to-warn and restricted-reporting situations according to Department of Defense protocols.
• Document counselor activity, participate in supervision and training, and support quality improvement, pilot programs, and related contract activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or a related field such as social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
• Current unrestricted independent license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent independent behavioral health clinician license.
• Less than two years of post-licensure clinical experience and intermediate technology skills, including Microsoft applications, smartphones, web applications, and videoconferencing platforms.
• US citizenship and fluent English are required.
• National Agency Check and Inquiries, Installation Records Check, criminal background check, and FBI fingerprinting are required.
• A valid US state driver’s license is required; a military vehicle operator’s permit may also be required for temporary-duty locations.
