Maintenance Mechanic & Technician (CNC)

Location: 4930 Kraft Ave SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Onsite, third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Salary: Starting at $30.62 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy wood-processing machinery, including Homag saws, CNC machines, and edge-banding equipment.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose faults, determine repairs, and communicate issues that may affect production quality or schedules.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance records, and project files.
• Support plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other facility systems.
• Ensure facility compliance with local building and fire codes and requisition required parts and supplies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in similar maintenance roles involving heavy CNC-style machinery.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and work on ladders, at heights, and in confined or awkward spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and other physical duties.
