Maintenance Technician (Facilities): Maintaining and repairing student-living apartments, buildings, equipment, and common areas with an accent on preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, and resident service. Focus on diagnosing repairs across appliances, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical systems, maintaining safety and compliance, and handling on-call property emergencies.

Location: Redpoint Oxford, Oxford, Mississippi, United States. The role is performed at the assigned property and includes periodic travel, after-hours emergencies, and weekend availability.

What you will do

  • Respond to service requests and complete minor and routine maintenance repairs.
  • Prepare apartments for turnover through appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical and lighting work.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and operating systems, including filters, alarms, utilities, coils, condensers, and lubrication.
  • Inspect apartments, common areas, grounds, pools, and building equipment to maintain safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Document completed work, parts used, follow-up requirements, and supply needs in Entrata and CMMS systems.
  • Support vendors, property staff, resident events, snow removal, and after-hours emergencies as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • High school/GED or trade school diploma and 1–3 years of full-time general maintenance experience, or equivalent experience.
  • EPA 608 Type I certification and Certified Pool Operator certification, or willingness to obtain CPO certification within six months.
  • Knowledge of key management, security, building automation, digital control, Entrata, and CMMS systems.
  • Valid driver’s license, clear communication, dependable work habits, and ability to work under aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to stand for 8 or more hours, lift up to 100 pounds, travel when required, and accommodate on-call, after-hours, and weekend emergencies.
