3rd Shift (Overnight) Machine Operator Screw Machine (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Batavia, New York, United States; onsite, third shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday to Friday

Salary: $41,000–$51,000 per year

What you will do

• Operate and manage multiple automatic screw machines to produce quick-connect bodies at the required production rate.
• Perform in-process inspections using gages and control plans, including the 3-Container System.
• Make tool changes and adjustments, perform operator preventive maintenance, and process chips.
• Document downtime and grinding information, maintain production goals, and communicate machine conditions between shifts.
• Identify non-conforming parts, notify the Production Supervisor, and perform inspection and sorting as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and complete bar stamping when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of automatic screw machines and strong mechanical ability.
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
• At least one year of experience operating automatic screw machines is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of gages and basic computer skills are preferred.
