Project Manager (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Location: Cheswick, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location

Salary: $99,000–$165,000 per year

EMD, a Curtiss-Wright business unit, designs, manufactures, tests, and supports critical-function pumps, motors, generators, seals, control rod drive mechanisms, and power conditioning electronics for the United States Navy and commercial nuclear utilities.

What you will do

• Manage project work plans to achieve technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Lead project teams and recurring meetings, monitor progress, and remove obstacles.
• Maintain customer communications and address project requirements and expectations.
• Resolve issues involving scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resources, cost, and customer interfaces.
• Control project costs, coordinate Estimate at Complete certifications, and maintain the Project Risk Management Plan.
• Coordinate with sourcing and suppliers to secure materials for current projects and future production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; Business Administration or equivalent experience will be considered.
• At least five years of project management or project leadership experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and ERP systems.
• Strong organization, written and verbal communication, presentation, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and procedures.
• US citizenship is required due to DoD requirements, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is mandatory.
