Project Manager to Project Manager Principal

Location: On-site in Louisa, Kentucky, United States; work at homes, offices, power plants, nuclear facilities, and construction sites. Travel is typically 25% or less, with additional travel possible for specific assignments.

Compensation range: $87,633.00–$151,132.50 annually, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, control, and close base, intermediate, and complex projects.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, procurement plans, and project controls.
• Lead planning meetings, outage updates, stakeholder presentations, and project status communications.
• Coordinate internal teams, operating company staff, customers, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Manage procurement and outside-service contracts, including proposals, bid evaluation, negotiations, vendor performance, and quality.
• Promote safety, continuous improvement, risk mitigation, quality, and successful project closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, computer science, or a related field, with 3–7 years of qualified experience depending on level; equivalent associate degree or high school education requires additional experience.
• Experience in project management, major construction, project estimating, project controls, project engineering, outage management, or comparable production environments.
• Progressively increasing project management responsibility and knowledge across scope, cost, schedule, risk, contracting, quality, and reporting.
• Leadership, team-building, meeting management, communication, conflict management, strategic planning, and risk assessment skills.
• Valid state driver’s license required; ability to perform light physical duties, including site walkdowns, ladder climbing, and work around hazardous conditions.
• Work may involve nuclear power sites and possible radiation exposure within applicable NRC limits.

Nice to have

• Experience in utilities, commercial nuclear power, and/or IT systems.
• PMP certification.
• Prior experience as a Project Manager Associate, Project Manager, or Project Manager Senior.
