Associate Director, Software Engineering (Java/J2EE)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop software engineering employees.
• Manage performance reviews, compensation processes, feedback, recognition, succession planning, and other people-management activities.
• Lead the Java/J2EE software development lifecycle and share engineering best practices.
• Identify organizational gaps and remove cultural, logistical, and process impediments to effective performance.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across Technology and internal business groups.
• Drive continuous improvement, self-organization, learning, and organizational change.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in the Java/J2EE SDLC.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, teaching, and developing people.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, critical-thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of software lifecycle disciplines, including requirements, design, quality assurance, testing, deployment, and change management.
• Understanding of agile principles, self-organizing teams, and cloud computing concepts in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
