Sr Director, Engineering - MP&A and Finance

What you will do

• Define the multi-year technology strategy, investment priorities, budgets, and operating plans for Merchandise Planning & Allocation and Finance.
• Lead delivery and operations for mission-critical planning, allocation, inventory, procurement, and finance capabilities.
• Drive platform architecture, modernization, integration patterns, cloud data services, observability, automation, and technical-debt reduction.
• Establish engineering and operational KPIs covering quality, delivery predictability, availability, release health, defects, and SLA performance.
• Oversee governance, security, SOX, audit, risk management, budgeting, vendor relationships, and implementation partners.
• Build and develop a high-performing organization of engineering leaders, engineers, contractors, and partner resources.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, or technology delivery.
• 7+ years leading managers and/or directors responsible for business-critical enterprise platforms.
• Significant experience with retail, merchandising, planning, allocation, finance, ERP, vendor management, purchase orders, or related enterprise workflows.
• Deep experience with API, event-driven, and batch/file integrations across Oracle RMS, Oracle Fusion, OIC, O9, Bamboo Rose, Databricks, Kafka, MongoDB, and cloud-native services.
• Strong background in reliability, observability, CI/CD, automated testing, release management, incident and problem management, governance, security, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, implementation partners, and blended onshore/offshore delivery models.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume retail or consumer environments.
• Experience modernizing legacy Excel- and batch-heavy processes into scalable, governed, API- and workflow-based solutions.
• Understanding of invoice matching, GL feeds, archival and reporting requirements, and close-supporting operational processes.
