Operating Strategy Lead (Banking)

Location: Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax or Manchester, United Kingdom. Hybrid working requires spending at least two days per week, or 40% of working time, at an office site.

Salary: £85,493–£100,580 per year, plus an annual performance-related bonus.

What you will do

• Design operating model solutions supporting business priorities and transformation programmes.
• Partner with senior colleagues to identify challenges, opportunities and practical solutions.
• Use data, insight and evidence-based recommendations to improve performance and support decisions.
• Assess organisational effectiveness and improve productivity, collaboration and delivery outcomes.
• Define ways of working, lead complex change initiatives and support strategic programme delivery.
• Shape workforce and capability strategies while coaching colleagues and supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in strategy, business design, operating model design, organisational effectiveness, transformation or consulting.
• Strong understanding of organisational design principles and operating model frameworks.
• Experience using data and insight to develop recommendations and influence decisions.
• Proven ability to build credibility with and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading complex change or business transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or banking.
• Experience in Agile or modern delivery environments.
• Knowledge of workforce planning, organisational design or organisational performance approaches.
• Experience providing insight and recommendations to senior or executive-level stakeholders.
