What you will do
- Lead the annual strategic review of the Express estate, using customer, catchment, financial, demographic, and property data to identify opportunities and risks.
- Maintain and evolve the long-term strategy for more than 2,000 Express stores.
- Identify opportunities for store relocations, extensions, and rightsizing initiatives to improve performance and optimize the property portfolio.
- Develop strategic recommendations, business cases, and investment proposals for lease events and estate management activity.
- Lead cross-functional projects and partner with Property, Online, Strategy, Finance, Store Research & Modelling, and Channels Transformation teams.
- Improve processes, tools, systems, training, resource planning, and prioritization across the property strategy function.
Requirements
- Significant experience in property strategy, location planning, retail strategy, or a similar analytical and commercially focused role.
- Experience working with large customer, financial, demographic, and property datasets.
- Strong understanding of retail performance drivers and investment decision-making.
- Experience developing strategic recommendations, business cases, and investment proposals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing projects and balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
