DC Material Handler (Manufacturing)

Location: Old Fort, Ohio, USA; onsite work at the Fostoria facility

Salary: $27.50 per hour, plus shift premium if applicable

Manufacturing company producing consumer and household products including baking soda, cat litter, and unit-dose detergent.

What you will do

• Load and unload trailers, containers, finished goods, stock transfer orders, and customer shipments.
• Build pick pallets from customer pick lists and operate stretch-wrapping equipment.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet riders, and other material-handling equipment.
• Use the warehouse management system to process truck loading and unloading accurately and efficiently.
• Read product quantities, types, lot codes, and version codes to complete customer orders.
• Complete paperwork, preventive-maintenance inspections, housekeeping, and safe operating procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of forklift experience.
• Working knowledge of material-handling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and perform extended standing, walking, bending, climbing, and repetitive-motion tasks.
• Ability to work the assigned weekend schedule and other shifts during the week when required.
• Familiarity with plant food-safety programs and basic HACCP principles.
