3rd Shift Sanitation Coordinator (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at 1414 Blue Hills Avenue, Bloomfield, CT 06002, USA. Third shift: 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Pay: $31.35 per hour

What you will do

• Lead and direct sanitation team members across daily shift operations.
• Coordinate routine, preventive, emergency, and deep-cleaning activities around production schedules.
• Maintain SSOPs, the Master Sanitation Schedule, sanitation records, KPIs, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct sanitation audits, visual inspections, environmental swabbing, and chemical titrations.
• Investigate sanitation deficiencies, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, plant leadership, and external contractors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in sanitation, manufacturing, food production, or a related environment.
• Experience directing, coaching, or training employees.
• Knowledge of sanitation processes, cleaning chemicals, food safety requirements, SSOPs, GMPs, and HACCP principles.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, prioritization, and basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to perform physical work in wet, noisy, industrial environments, including standing, climbing, reaching, lifting, bending, and kneeling.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or related technical education.
• Food manufacturing, food safety, or sanitation leadership experience.
• Experience with SAP Manufacturing, Kronos TimeKeeper, SharePoint, PowerPoint, or other manufacturing systems.
• Experience with sanitation audits, environmental monitoring, allergen controls, pest control, or continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with SQF and other regulatory food safety standards.
