Location: Campus-based at the Oxford Road Campus in Manchester, United Kingdom, with regular on-site presence and occasional travel to other University or off-site locations.

What you will do
- Act as a key estates contact for Faculties, Schools, Research Institutes and Professional Services colleagues.
- Provide advice on property, refurbishment, adaptation, maintenance, infrastructure and facilities management requirements.
- Coordinate refurbishment and adaptation projects in occupied buildings with contractors, consultants, service providers and customers.
- Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships, service standards, expectations and delivery outcomes.
- Coordinate surveys, maintenance schedules, assessments, budget monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement activities.
- Support health, safety, statutory, environmental and sustainability compliance, and deputise for Senior Estates Partners when required.
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification, degree or significant equivalent experience in estates, construction, building engineering, maintenance, facilities management or a related discipline.
- Experience in property, construction, maintenance or facilities management, preferably within a large and complex customer-focused organisation.
- Project coordination and delivery experience, with the ability to work to agreed quality, budget and timescale requirements.
- Technical knowledge of building construction, mechanical and electrical services, planned and responsive maintenance, surveying, brief development and construction health and safety.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants, customers and internal stakeholders, with strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
- Financial and administrative awareness, strong IT skills including Microsoft 365, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
