What you will do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and reactive maintenance on production machinery, plant, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic faults, restoring equipment to safe operation and minimizing manufacturing downtime.
- Support the preparation, installation, and commissioning of new production equipment and pneumatic systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions to identify faults and complete repairs.
- Complete risk assessments, maintenance records, and safety documentation in line with HSE, IOSH, and company requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams, subcontractors, and external service providers regarding equipment status and maintenance activity.
Requirements
- At least five years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Practical knowledge of planned preventative maintenance, machinery inspections, and equipment reliability improvement.
- Good understanding of industrial health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions, with basic PC and maintenance-system skills.
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship and/or Level 3 NVQ in Electro/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is advantageous.

- Experience installing and commissioning machinery.
- Experience managing contractors.
