Valve Technician

Location: Immingham, UK; workshop and customer sites across the UK. The role is approximately 80% site based and requires a valid UK driving licence.

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, overhaul, repair, test, calibrate, and certify valves, actuators, pumps, and pressure systems.
• Work with pressure relief, safety, control, isolation, and regulating valves and related mechanical equipment.
• Perform fault-finding and ensure equipment meets relevant standards and customer requirements.
• Complete work in the Immingham workshop and at customer sites across the UK.
• Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and certification records.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and colleagues while following health, safety, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with valve overhaul, repair, testing, certification, or mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of pressure systems, pipework, pumps, actuators, or related mechanical equipment.
• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant practical engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work in workshop and field-based environments.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Nice to have

• Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, fuel storage, manufacturing, food production, pharmaceuticals, utilities, steelworks, marine, power generation, or other heavy industrial environments.
• Transferable experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance, rotating equipment, pumps, pipework, or pressure systems.
