Junior Accountant (Fintech)

What you will do

• Complete settlement reporting, reconciliations, and accounting activities accurately and on schedule.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve financial variances while maintaining financial controls and service-level expectations.
• Manage assigned portfolios, escalate issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver timely resolutions.
• Support system enhancements, process automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and support compliance, governance, and internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• At least one year of accounting experience, including exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Oracle, Frontier, SAP, or similar accounting platforms.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies, manage competing priorities, communicate with stakeholders, and deliver accurate results under deadlines.

Nice to have

• CPA designation or an equivalent professional accounting certification.
• Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm, in audit engagements, or through accounting internships.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience with process improvement, system enhancement, or automation initiatives.
