TL;DR
Staff Accountant, Sales Accounting (Revenue Accounting): Leading period-end revenue close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and cross-functional accounting support with an accent on US GAAP, internal controls, and revenue-related analysis. Focus on improving close efficiency through AI integration, process automation, standardization, and resolution of complex accounting issues across Sales, Finance, brokers, and Order to Cash.
Location: Jinetes, Mexico; hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Lead monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close processes, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, system reconciliations, analytics, and reporting.
- Provide accounting guidance on revenue, e-commerce, broker commissions, customer trade spend, and other accounting matters.
- Support Order to Cash activities and partner with Sales, Finance, business units, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting and process issues.
- Research accounting guidance, update policies, analyze emerging pronouncements, and act as a subject matter expert for revenue matters.
- Use AI tools and continuous improvement methods to streamline Sales Accounting, standardize processes, and accelerate monthly and quarterly close activities.
- Handle ad hoc requests and projects supporting the Sales Accounting group.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish, supporting the US.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Understanding of US GAAP and financial statements, with the ability to conduct accounting research.
- Experience working independently and cross-functionally while maintaining data integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience in a multinational company; proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Group Reporting, Power BI, or BlackLine.
- Experience integrating AI into accounting processes.
- MBA or CPA.
