Senior Engineer - Facilities (HVAC)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; onsite

What you will do

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and utilities.
• Optimize energy usage and improve common facility systems.
• Ensure reliable facility utility support for production with minimal or no downtime.
• Develop maintenance programs and track their execution.
• Coordinate cleanroom recertification activities, including HEPA filter replacement, validation, and reporting.
• Manage vendors and contractors while maintaining operational reliability and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Facilities Engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with HVAC, OFA, and cleanroom environmental control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for HVAC, compressed air, ventilation, and other facility utility systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, shutdown planning, and cleanroom recertification.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO standards and experience in a manufacturing environment.
