Service Engineer (HVAC)

Location: On-site five days per week in Shah Alam, Selangor, with the role based in Johor Bahru or Shah Alam and supporting regional operations as needed.

What you will do

• Provide technical support, servicing, and maintenance for HVAC systems and mission-critical data centre cooling equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and related infrastructure.
• Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimization.
• Lead technicians and subcontractors to deliver assigned work safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate schedules and technical issues with data centre customers, vendors, and contractors.
• Prepare maintenance plans, documentation, and reports, and respond to urgent or unplanned service needs.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least five years of HVAC experience, preferably in data centre operations or mission-critical cooling.
• Strong expertise in chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC controls, and cooling optimization.
• Experience working with data centre customers and managing expectations in high-demand environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer-handling, teamwork, and independent working skills.
• Willingness to work long, extended, or irregular hours, including after-hours support when required.
