Assistant Manager: Ocean Beach Resort, Umina

Location: Umina Beach, Australia. Onsite resort role with weekend work expected, including Saturday; peak-period schedules may typically run Tuesday to Saturday. Accommodation is available if required, but living onsite is not essential.

What you will do

• Act as the operational second-in-command to the General Manager and translate strategy into consistent daily execution.
• Coordinate operational rhythms across departments, ensuring tasks are tracked, followed up, and completed.
• Provide hands-on leadership, support team members, resolve guest concerns, and address inter-department issues.
• Support rostering, workforce planning, labour decisions, recruitment, onboarding, and team development.
• Oversee banking, administration, compliance, safety checks, incident handling, and hazard reporting.
• Lead or support resort operations during peak periods and busy trading times.

Requirements

• Experience in a holiday park, resort, hotel, or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Background in a supervisory, duty manager, assistant manager, or department head role.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check is mandatory.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation, communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Experience with rostering, labour awareness, operational planning, administration, compliance, and financial processes.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support multiple departments and reinforce operational standards.
