Senior Software Engineer, Affiliates, Fullstack (Sydney)

What you will do

• Write, test, debug, and troubleshoot scalable, maintainable software.
• Lead medium-sized projects or components from design through completion.
• Lead technical discussions and propose solutions that support team and company objectives.
• Identify engineering improvements and drive constructive changes to team processes and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to communicate technical concepts.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers through guidance and constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, primarily in backend development.
• Experience with Node.js, microservices, Docker, and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including AWS CodePipeline or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency with WebSockets, Pub/Sub, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, problem-solving, communication, and analytical thinking.

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte and SvelteKit or other server-side rendering frameworks such as React with Next.js or Vue with Nuxt.
• Proficiency in JavaScript fundamentals and Storybook.
