Location: Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in San Francisco, USA

Salary: $208,000–$349,655/year (OTE $232,000–$390,000/year)

What you will do

• Partner on the technical vision and quality bar for the division, driving architectural direction and defining best practices.
• Lead large, ambiguous projects end-to-end, from initial design through implementation and operational support.
• Support maturing channels by evolving stacks to ensure foundational primitives are flexible and robust.
• Mentor engineers at every level through code reviews, architecture reviews, and pairing.
• Champion reliability and operability by improving observability and tightening error handling across the dashboard and delivery layers.
• Design and build foundational systems and frameworks that act as a force multiplier for the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time as a technical leader.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and modern frontend environments (TypeScript, React).
• Experience designing and shipping foundational infrastructure, frameworks, or platform services.
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to translate technical debt into business risk.
• Proven track record of driving projects to completion in high-ambiguity environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience building shared component libraries or design system primitives.
• Experience with real-time systems or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with developer experience tooling like code generation or CI/CD.
