Senior Director, AI Innovations

Salary: $247,600–$284,033 per year

What you will do

• Develop and implement the Institute’s AI innovation strategy across research, clinical, and operational domains.
• Assess emerging AI, biomedical research, and healthcare opportunities, risks, market conditions, and institutional capabilities.
• Develop business cases, operating models, business plans, and implementation plans for priority AI and data science initiatives.
• Direct complex AI innovation initiatives from planning through execution, including project plans, governance structures, milestones, and accountability measures.
• Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to evaluate progress, outcomes, and organizational impact.
• Build strategic partnerships with faculty, institutional leaders, industry organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, public health, business administration, health administration, data science, informatics, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, research administration, innovation program leadership, or related management roles.
• Experience in a healthcare, academic medical center, research, or biomedical environment.
• Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional initiatives and translating strategy into operational execution.
• Expert knowledge of current and emerging AI technologies and applications relevant to biomedical research, healthcare delivery, or administrative operations.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, governance, and program management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in oncology, biomedical research, digital health, artificial intelligence, or data science-enabled transformation.
• Ph.D. in a relevant field.
