Associate Director - Information Systems (Clinical Data Hub)

What you will do

• Lead the Clinical Data Hub product team and define its vision, strategy, multi-year roadmap, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Build partnerships across Clinical Development, Data Management, Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, Precision Medicine, and Digital Technology & Innovation.
• Develop scalable clinical data products with common standards, metadata, governance, security, discoverability, interoperability, and data reuse capabilities.
• Manage the product portfolio, backlog, budget, trade-offs, platform reliability, regulatory compliance, technical debt, and delivery of new capabilities.
• Provide strategic and people leadership for a cross-functional product team, including workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and vendor management.
• Establish product governance and performance management practices while representing the Clinical Data Hub in senior leadership forums.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 4 years, master’s degree with 8 years, bachelor’s degree with 10 years, associate’s degree with 12 years, or high school diploma/GED with 14 years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or Biology.
• At least 4 years of managerial or leadership experience managing people, leading teams, products, or programs, or directing resource allocation.
• Experience with clinical development data and processes, including clinical data management, study execution, data standards, governance, and regulated environments.
• Experience leading enterprise data, analytics, or platform products with measurable outcomes in adoption, resilience, and compliance.
• Experience with product strategy, roadmaps, portfolio prioritization, resource planning, Agile delivery, backlog management, release planning, and Scrum or scaled Agile practices.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture and engineering, including cloud, data lakes or lakehouses, APIs, metadata, data quality and lineage, security, DevOps, and analytics/AI.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Databricks, Apache technologies, Python, R, SQL, Docker, and GitLab.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder-influence skills across functions, geographies, and organizational levels.
