Inventory Control Lead

Location: On-site at the Forney Distribution Center in Forney, Texas, USA. Monday through Friday, with flexibility required for inventories, audits, and operational priorities outside standard business hours.

What you will do

• Lead daily cycle-count execution and coordinate inventory work for Inventory Associates.
• Ensure completion of scheduled inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy across the distribution center.
• Investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and reconcile WMS and ERP inventory data.
• Coach frontline associates on inventory processes, system transactions, standard work, and accountability.
• Partner with Operations, Receiving, Shipping, Materials, Customer Service, and Quality to resolve inventory issues.
• Develop SOPs, monitor inventory KPIs, support audits, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or distribution center operations.
• Experience leading or coordinating frontline associates.
• Knowledge of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, inventory control principles, ERP systems, and WMS platforms such as Oracle, Manhattan, or SAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume distribution center operations and reconciling ERP and WMS inventory.
• Knowledge of Manhattan WMS and Oracle ERP.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience developing inventory KPI dashboards and operational reports.
