Manager of Construction Advisors

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work mode with required residence and work in California. The role includes up to 20% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead owner-side construction oversight for major projects across hydroelectric facilities, dam rehabilitation, gas turbines, utility-scale battery storage, decommissioning, bridges, and desalination plants.
• Manage construction execution, supervise exempt employees, and align delivery with project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
• Guide constructability reviews, logistics planning, productivity analysis, equipment and material delivery, and field performance monitoring.
• Implement project controls covering cost estimating, scheduling, change management, documentation, and construction performance metrics.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors while resolving operational issues and maintaining project milestones.
• Protect sensitive project, financial, customer, and cybersecurity information in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience performing or supervising construction project management or construction advisory and oversight work.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Experience leading teams and promoting accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of construction safety, contractor oversight, hazard recognition, quality control, inspections, testing, incident escalation, and closeout documentation.
• Ability to manage construction risks, constraints, change orders, invoices, contractor documentation, and mitigation actions.
• Must work and reside in California; the position is hybrid and requires regular reporting to an SCE facility.

Nice to have

• Utility, generation, hydroelectric, power plant, substation, transmission, or comparable infrastructure construction experience.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field.
• PE, PMP, CCM, OSHA/Cal-OSHA, or construction quality certifications.
• Experience with project, contract, design-review, and document-management systems.
