Senior Construction Project Manager (Energy)

Location: Onsite at a project site in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $111,000–$161,500 per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations and construction management for a multimillion-dollar project site.
• Manage multiple project managers working across different project sites.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field operations, trade layout, production goals, and construction methods.
• Monitor work quality and progress, conduct inspections, and resolve deficiencies or deviations.
• Manage project schedules, document delays, and ensure deadlines, building codes, ordinances, and company guidelines are followed.
• Communicate project status, risks, and requirements to owners, architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar commercial or government construction role.
• Ability to review confidential US security information.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection layout and construction practices.
• In-depth knowledge of construction scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Procore, eCMS, and construction project management information systems.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• USACE QCMC and EM-385.1.1 certificates.
• Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing multiple projects and project managers simultaneously.
