Senior Network Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week onsite in the San Francisco FiDi or Culver City office; United States

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD per year

hirify.global is building an AI platform and self-clearing brokerage infrastructure for independent financial advisors, including software for account opening, trading, reporting, and billing.

What you will do

• Own multi-region AWS network architecture across production, clearing, and platform environments, including Transit Gateway, VPC, addressing, and routing.
• Design network segmentation and deliver network infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps.
• Lead the transition to zero trust and SASE access models for distributed engineering teams.
• Manage partner connectivity through site-to-site VPNs, BGP peering, and Direct Connect circuits with financial-services counterparties.
• Define network observability, lead incident escalation and disaster-recovery efforts, and manage cross-region failover.
• Apply AI-native and agentic workflows to audit, drift detection, configuration analysis, and network operations while mentoring engineers and setting technical standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of network engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud-native environments and ownership of production networks.
• Deep AWS networking experience with VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, PrivateLink, NAT, egress patterns, and security groups.
• Strong knowledge of routing, BGP, IPsec, TLS, DNS, DHCP, packet analysis, segmentation, and traffic inspection.
• Experience with zero trust or SASE, including ZTNA, secure web gateways, CASB, or device-posture-based access.
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience, scripting with Python, Bash, or Go, and familiarity with cloud APIs and Kubernetes networking.
• AI-native approach required, including using AI tools to write and review code, analyze configurations and logs, and verify outputs before production use.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, brokerage, clearing, custody, banking, market data, or another regulated industry.
• Network integration during acquisitions or enterprise mergers.
• Experience with Claude, agentic infrastructure workflows, service mesh, API gateways, WAF, bot management, CDN security, or campus networking.
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP certification.
