Senior Network Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: U.S. Remote (requires 50-75% travel)

Salary: $258,000 – $300,000 + equity

What you will do

• Serve as the senior technical authority for the operational network fleet, including switches, routers, cabling, and optics.
• Lead site assessments, operational audits, and technical readiness for site activations.
• Review network platforms and integration designs from an operational perspective.
• Author, approve, and execute high-risk network MOPs and lead fleet-wide root cause analysis.
• Hold vendors and OEMs accountable to operational standards.
• Act as the connective tissue across network engineering, compute operations, facilities, and supply chain teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S.
• Extensive experience operating mission-critical network topologies at scale.
• Deep expertise in IP network operations, optical networking, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS).
• Proven ability to author high-risk MOPs and lead root cause analysis for significant network events.
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation and team mentorship.
• Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale or large HPC fleets.
• Proficiency in Linux and hardware management tooling.
• Experience standing up new sites from handover to steady state.
• Scripting skills for fleet-scale operations.
