Senior AI Agent Engineer

Location: New York City, NY or San Francisco, CA

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year plus 0.08%–0.18% equity

hirify.global is building an AI operating system for the industrial supply chain, helping warehouses, manufacturers, logistics providers, and workers automate workflows and improve operational decision-making.

What you will do

• Build production AI agent systems on frontier LLMs, including tool use, sub-agents, retrieval, structured outputs, MCP servers, and orchestration.
• Embed with customers and operators to understand supply chain workflows and design agents that automate meaningful operational work.
• Own evaluation systems using real production traces, datasets, rubrics, graders, experiments, and measurable improvement loops.
• Architect the data, services, and APIs supporting the agent layer and integrate internal systems with customer WMS, TMS, and ERP environments.
• Create repeatable deployment patterns that accelerate customer rollouts and improve reliability and debuggability.
• Partner with the CTO, product, and operations teams to take agent ideas from 0-to-1 through scaled deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1+ year shipping LLM- or agent-based features into production.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js skills, with experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and PostgreSQL data models.
• Hands-on experience with production-scale prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, orchestration patterns, and frontier model APIs.
• Experience building in fast-moving, ambiguous environments such as vertical AI, AI-agent, forward-deployed, or data-product companies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer workshops and technical design documentation.
