Product Owner II – Portfolio Operations (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado; office or hybrid environment. Travel may be required up to 20%. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Salary: $143,487.14–$197,294.82 annually, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

• Own and prioritize team backlogs around clearly defined outcomes.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria, and coach new Product Owners in backlog practices.
• Lead backlog refinement, story slicing, iteration planning, and acceptance activities.
• Teach prioritization, trade-off decision-making, flow discipline, and outcome-based thinking.
• Align Product Managers, Capability Owners, Agile professionals, engineers, and delivery teams on readiness and dependencies.
• Promote modern product practices, healthy operating rhythms, transparency, and predictable value delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; 14 years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing complex IT projects, projects, and teams.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of service-oriented architecture, web, mobile, and cloud solutions.
• Ability to work on a computer for most of the shift and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMI-ACP, PfMP, or similar certification.
• Product management or product operating model experience.
• Cloud technology, enterprise software, application development, or aerospace and defense industry experience.
