Corporate Banking Credit Associate (CRE & REIT)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; resident position at hirify.global Bank’s Home Office

What you will do

• Assist with the development, structuring, negotiation, and closing of REIT and CRE transactions secured by commercial real estate assets throughout the United States.
• Underwrite new transactions and monitor an assigned portfolio of existing REIT and CRE loans, including loan grading and credit quality.
• Analyze financial statements, rent rolls, appraisals, construction information, and market data for credit and transaction due diligence.
• Prepare REIT- and project-level cash-flow projections using Excel and third-party modeling software such as Argus.
• Prepare written and oral presentations, reports, and compliance evaluations for senior management, credit teams, syndication partners, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain loan documentation, monitor compliance with loan terms and applicable guidelines, and coach incoming associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance.
• Knowledge of REIT and CRE credit analysis, finance and accounting principles, and applicable federal and state laws.
• Ability to prepare complex credit reports, analyze financial statements, structure and underwrite loan transactions, and generate cash-flow projections.
• Advanced Excel modeling and computation skills; experience with third-party modeling software such as Argus is relevant to the role.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, solve complex problems, lead work, and build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work on-site in Saint Petersburg, Florida, with less than 25% travel.
