Director, Digital Transformation (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States. Workplace: On-site. The role is subject to U.S. export control compliance and requires a U.S. person or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and effectiveness of PLM, ERP, MES, data/BI, automation, and related enterprise applications.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives that simplify processes, reduce manual work, improve data flow, and increase scalability across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance.
• Define an integrated digital thread, systems of record, data ownership, enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and end-to-end information flows.
• Improve product definition, configuration and change management, procurement readiness, manufacturing planning, production execution, and quality workflows.
• Lead transformation programs from problem definition and future-state design through architecture, implementation, adoption, and measurable business outcomes.
• Build and lead teams, governance, operating models, vendor partnerships, and technology evaluation practices, including AI and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise systems, engineering or manufacturing systems, enterprise architecture, or related fields.
• Experience leading complex transformation initiatives in engineering, manufacturing, product development, or similarly technical environments.
• Strong understanding of PLM, ERP, MES, integrations, data, analytics, enterprise architecture, APIs, data models, and systems-of-record strategies.
• Experience leading technical teams and complex cross-functional initiatives, with executive communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.
• Must satisfy U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. person or be otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or another complex hardware or product-development environment.
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter/NX or comparable PLM/CAD platforms and NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or comparable ERP platforms.
• Experience with eBOM/mBOM, manufacturing planning, production execution, quality, digital-thread architectures, enterprise integrations, BI, operational analytics, or modern data platforms.
• Practical experience applying AI, agents, or intelligent automation to engineering, manufacturing, or enterprise workflows.
